Case Study: What Customers Are Saying About The Moderated Chat

We’re well aware that our most popular chat type is the Moderated Chat. Last month, we had the opportunity to get what our clients are saying about it. We’ve gathered what our customers are saying about the chat type and what they want to see in the future. Here are some of their inputs.

Problem # 1: Queueing messages

“It’s a simple feature to use in live events. I had no problem moderating the live chat since I can choose what messages to accept and delete. I wasn’t overwhelmed by answering my community’s questions and had time to gather my thoughts.”

One of our clients has a small community. This client often hosts small live streams for his community. Therefore, he uses the Moderated Chat specifically for that.

Even with a small community, there are still numerous questions waiting to be answered. So, he inquired about the Moderated Chat. We presented it in a demo and he liked the feature.

A few weeks later, he shared with us the testimonial above. They loved how the Moderated Chat allows chat administrators to queue messages. This feature helped in organizing the chat, therefore being able to control the influx and quality of messages sent.

Problem # 2: Hosting question and answer sessions

moderated chat

In any chat room, questions are unavoidable. Our clients frequently use the Moderated Chat for Q&A sessions. Here’s what one of the speakers said:

“I was a speaker for this one event. They introduced me to the RumbleTalk chat room at that time. I saw how the moderators were using the chat room for Q&A sessions and how it helped me navigate the questions.”

Now, this person has also become one of our customers. She was intrigued by the chat type and is now her frequently used chat type today. This customer holds live streams with a Q&A chat.

The Moderated Chat introduced a solution to one of her problems, which was being overwhelmed by a barrage of questions. She also appointed a moderator to help her approve appropriate questions for her event topic. Now, any event of hers goes smoothly.

Problem # 3: Getting in-depth and relevant feedback from customers

Companies and businesses need feedback to improve their products and services. However, it’s a tough job to filter the relevant reviews especially if you have hundreds coming in at the same time. Some customers just rant about the products/services and don’t give actual constructive criticism and suggestions. To solve this, our clients use the Moderated Chat, keeping only the relevant feedback by approving them in the chat room. Here’s another testimonial from one of our loyal customers:

“I’ve gotten a lot of spam from my chat room. So, when I want to collect feedback for my service, I enable the Moderated Chat. It helps to approve relevant feedback so that the customers can discuss if this is also what they want to see in future developments.”

Moderated Chat: A simple solution that goes a long way

Through our clients’ testimonials and problems, we’ve seen how powerful the Moderated Chat is in helping chat build connections. From chat owner, speaker, and audience, it’s a no-brainer that the Moderated Chat has assisted in developing trust and rapport.

Using the RumbleTalk Moderated Chat for events is an ideal choice. It simplified organized interaction with the audience and allowed companies to get relevant feedback and comments from their customers in real-time.

Case Study: A spike in engagement that’s beyond all expectations

A few weeks ago, we’ve had the pleasure of participating in an event that was run through RumbleTalk Chat’s technology. The experience showed us why adding an event chat into your platform could be one of the biggest changes to live stream events, e.g., audience engagement, since the invention of social media.

We are so delighted to have the privilege of sharing with you the story of one of our clients. How they started, and how we spruced things up. This case study highlights several key takeaways from our campaign so far.

Before we get started, let’s define the following terms first.

What is a live stream event?

A live stream event is a real-time, broadcasted event over the Internet. It can be on your website, on a community platform, or anywhere else online. To make it more effective in engaging your audience, most organizers add a live chat into the event. So, it instantly becomes a two-way communication. It becomes a place where your audience isn’t just your listener, but can also engage with other participants in so many ways.

What is engagement and how do we measure it?

Engagement is when visitors to your website, or event, appreciate your content enough to stick around, interact, and share your content. For example, if we are measuring our live stream event’s engagement, we will look at the interaction between the active chatters, the participants who stayed until the end of the program, and people who talk about the event on their social media platforms.

So, in an event like this, we can quantify engagement by using this formula:

The Objective: To increase the total engagement rate in a live stream conference

Organizing healthcare conferences for almost a decade, this will be our client’s first time to use RumbleTalk in their virtual event. The objective is to increase the total engagement of this 2-day event. From the usual 47%, we are eyeing at least a 75% engagement rate by the end of the program.

The Solution: Pair the event with RumbleTalk Moderated Chat

live stream

The conference contained panels and speakers from varied medical specialties. Organizers are expecting over 400 guests in the medical industry. Given this huge number, they knew they needed a tool to provide attendees a way to communicate their thoughts on the fly. So, we set up RumbleTalk on their website, where the event will take place.

The RumbleTalk Experience: Features that helped us reach the goal

  1. Moderated Chat – This chat type allows you to assign an administrator to moderate the conversation. Your admin has control over the functions that will keep your event chat a safe and healthy space for all your participants. They can approve or reject messages before it goes live. Moreover, they can delete all messages at once or mute everyone if there’s an announcement. The admin can disconnect or ban problematic users.
  2. Q&A Sessions and Polls – RumbleTalk further improved the interaction between the speakers and the audience. They did this through a moderated Q&A Session, where the admin will be the one to gather questions through the chat. The admin can also host Poll discussions. This creates an inclusive environment where everyone’s opinion can be heard.
  3. Add a Welcome Message – A simple way to warmly welcome your audience once they enter the online event.
  4. Keywords – During panel discussions, the admin can send downloadable booklets, images, and tutorial videos through Keywords. A feature that turns words into links that will lead your audience to the designated webpage, downloadable file, online form, video, and more.

The Results: 88% total engagement rate, 91% of attendees stayed until the end of the event

live stream engagement

It’s safe to say that using RumbleTalk chat for this online conference was a very successful strategy. The average total engagement rate on their previous live-stream events is usually around 47%. But, with RumbleTalk chat, we were able to enjoy a nice spike with a whopping 88% – which is 13% above the target.

Finally, we also noted that 392 out of 431 participants stayed until the conclusion of the event. Lowering the drop-off rate by 12%.

RumbleTalk gives a simple solution that produced substantial effects

There is no better way to communicate with people during a live stream conference event than through a powerful tool such as RumbleTalk. This communications platform can help you keep your events organized, and your interactions more vibrant than ever.

CASE STUDY: One virtual job fair, multiple chat rooms, hundreds of new hires

It was mid-September last year when our client, a recruitment agency, organized a virtual job fair. An event that brought over 50 companies looking to fill in more than 400 positions around the globe.

We are well aware that a virtual job fair has been an effective way for businesses to hire qualified individuals. But, this time, they took it a notch higher. They used a live chat tool that significantly made the whole experience better. Both for the hiring managers, and job seekers.

“A live chat event offered the perfect solution. We were able to interact with candidates while we narrowed down our list of applicants who had the skills our employers were looking for.” A testimony from one of the organizers.

After integrating multiple RumbleTalk live chat rooms in the event website, the companies were able to communicate seamlessly with the candidates. And, they were able to select the best person for the job in less than three weeks’ time. Read through the article to learn how it all worked out.

The Objective: To recruit quality candidates that’ll fill in managerial-level roles

virtual job fair

The goal is to fill in more than 400 professional roles in two weeks. The job vacancy mix is 50% general managers, 25% business development executives, 20% sales managers, and 5% customer service representatives. Most of these prospects were mid-level to senior professionals.

A good chunk has at least 8 years of experience in their field. Furthermore, the hiring agency aims to open the opportunity to professionals around the globe.

As I’m sure you can imagine, getting so many qualified individuals in so many locations is no easy feat. So, how did they manage to do that?

The Solution: A virtual job fair paired with multiple chat rooms and powerful communication tools

The hiring agency created an event website, where they hosted a two-week virtual job fair. To make it more efficient, safe, and engaging, they embedded a RumbleTalk group chat into the event page. Having this live chat made it easier to facilitate real-time interaction with employers and candidates. Below are some of the tools that were maximized during the event.

The RumbleTalk Experience: Features that helped us reach the goal

  1. Multiple Chat Rooms – RumbleTalk can be customized based on the number of chat rooms you need. In this event, the organizers created 150 chat rooms that served as online booths for the companies and private meeting rooms for one-on-one interviews. By setting this up, job-seekers enjoyed access to many different employers and opportunities at once. They were also able to have conversations with multiple companies all in one virtual space without having to leave any sessions. Furthermore, employers are able to reach out to as many candidates as they see fit.
  2. One-on-one Private Chat Rooms – Aside from having their own virtual booth. RumbleTalk also helped the employers to create a room for separate, private conversations with their prospective candidates. For instance, when a hiring manager sees someone inside their booth with a stellar profile, he or she can instantly set up a private, one-on-one interview. All he or she needs to do is to message the candidate, and they will have their own private chat room. Inside the chat room, they can exchange documents, images, or a link to their portfolio. They can also do a two-way live video interviewing so that employers could see potential candidates face-to-face.
  3. InText Service Keywords – The Keywords function dynamically turns any word into links or downloadable documents. In a virtual job fair, this is useful for when you need to send a registration form, a company presentation, or send a downloadable file to the candidates. No need to copy and paste your documents and links for every person you talk to.

The Results: 115% increase in applications, 82% of job openings filled, hiring process time cut down in half

After the two-week event, the organizers saw a 115% increase in applications vs the previous online job fair without RumbleTalk. That’s over 3800 participants. 82% of the job openings were filled within two weeks, cutting the hiring process time in half.

Knowing that the typical hiring process for most organizations can take anywhere from one to two months. So, having a virtual events chat partner alongside your event would not only speed up the process but also got a glimpse into the candidates’ personalities. This helped them finalize hiring decisions much faster.

Invest in smartly-designed tools for efficient hiring in a virtual job fair

Whether you’re in a high-cost-of-living area or searching for remote talent all over the world, screening and reaching out to high-quality prospects can be difficult. Plus, with so many new tools on offer – from video interviews to multiple online meeting rooms – it can be hard to know where to invest your time and money in order to find your next star employee.

Using RumbleTalk live chat to discuss career opportunities on an online job board was a natural choice. It boosted engagement and allowed the companies to get in touch with hundreds of high-quality candidates from all over the world.
