How Instagram influencers can make a living with a fan group chat

Thinking about how other Instagram influencers can make hundreds to thousands through social media? What can you do to up your game?

There are several ways Instagram influencers can make money only.

  • They can promote a brand for a retainer.
  • They can promote affiliate products and get a percentage.

We would like to offer a unique way for Instagram influencers where they can get substantial recurring payments. We named this option mini-sites with a chat.

Let me explain, so grab some coffee or tea, because I’ll share all the necessary details you need to do to accomplish it.

First, talk as an Instagram influencer

fan group chat

Before you can make a fan group chat, you need to establish yourself to your audience. So, how do you achieve this?

Communication is the answer.

On your Instagram account, talk to your followers as if you’re already long-time buddies. This is the best way to establish a long and meaningful relationship.

While that’s happening, you will see the difference in how your followers connect with you and you can then make your approach. Introducing a mini-site fan group chats with the ability to charge a subscription entrance fee.

So, what can you do on your own fan group chat?

  • Create your own fan space in the cloud.
  • Associate this space (page) to your Instagram.
  • Promise to share important details/inside scoops, or even personal secrets and experiences in the chat.
  • Anyone that will join the chat will need to pay a subscription to be able to login to the chat.
  • You get a steady income from your loyal audience.

So, how can you accomplish all that?

  • First, create a page.

To create a page, you need to sign up on the RumbleTalk website. This is the tool that you’re going to use to create your fan group chat.

instagram influencers

After that, log-in to your admin panel and go to “Page.”

Instagram influencers

Change any design or description that you would like on your fan group chat. This can be a link to your YouTube channel, share buttons for Facebook and Twitter, and even a link to your blog if you have one.

Now that I’m done sharing the basics, I can teach you how you can monetize your fan group chat. Instagram influencers can’t always just make money from ads, sponsored posts, or affiliate products. You need to step up your game if you want to maximize your profit.

  • Set a subscription.

Your fan group chat can be monetized through a subscription fee. In order to do that, you need to change your paywall settings.

First, go to “Monetize Settings” on your admin panel.

Instagram influencers

Then, set the subscription fee you want. Remember to know your worth and define prices that are neither too low or too high. It’s also advisable to choose if your followers can pay monthly or annually.

subscription

  • Add it to your influencer’s description and posts.

The last and final step is to add it to your Instagram bio and posts. Link your fan group chat, talk about it, and make it something that your followers will be interested about.

You can post the link on your Instagram stories as well. They can swipe up and check out the link to your fan group chat.

What are the rates I can charge my audience?

Your call, you decide what you want to collect and how often.
Normally, Instagram influencers have different rates and it’s all according to these factors:

  • Follower size (the more followers, the more you can charge)
  • Engagement rate
  • Rate of influencer via specialty

On a report by Benjamin Chacon on Later, engagement is still the king for Instagram influencer marketing. So, it’s not all about the number of followers.

The factor percentage is as follows:

  • Engagement – 79%
  • Quality of followers – 70%
  • Industry or niche – 67%
  • Number of followers – 56%
  • Budget – 46%
  • Location – 33%

See what I mean by communication is key?

When you have a high engagement rate, it means that you know how to persuade your audience and they listen to you. If they don’t actually trust you, then why would they buy the products you sponsor or listen to your advice?

How about those with a lower number of followers?

If you’re on the lower side of the Instagram followers, let’s say, 1,000 to 100,000 followers, then you can use your strong engagement rate to earn up to $300-$400 per post (from vendors).

However, posting on Instagram isn’t the only thing you can do. You can also do the following:

  • Make use of brand promotion via Stories (more posts, more money).
  • Mention a specific brand on a caption.
  • Promotion of brand giveaway
  • Invite another influencer, brand, follower, or a friend to take over your account for a different perspective, e.g., BTS footage of you.

All of these can help you gain a following. Next, you can also introduce your fan group chat to your Instagram posts and Stories.

How much money can you earn as an Instagram influencer?

“Making $500 on Instagram? How can I start doing that? Is there any way I can join this club?”

Well, I’m glad that you asked that.

There’s more than enough money and space for everyone.

You don’t even need 50,000 followers just to reach those numbers.

Why you need RumbleTalk Pages to increase income as Instagram influencers

fan group chat

The Pages feature is an efficient way to have your own site/page dedicated to your service, business, or even your Youtube live. Editing the elements can help you decide the look of your page and what purpose it serves.

Reasons to use RumbleTalk as your live event platform

As all of us know, YouTube already offers a live chat along with your live stream. So, why would you want to use RumbleTalk as your platform?

Below are the reasons why you should use RumbleTalk.

  • Embed YouTube live on your actual website. This means that the YouTube live is happening on your website so you won’t be able to use the YouTube live chat, but you can use the platform’s chat as an alternative.

If you want to embed a chat on your own website (not on the RumbleTalk platform), you can find the instructions on our knowledge base.

  • If you want to have a closed group chat about the YouTube live event, you can also use the RumbleTalk chat for that. Some discussions need to be private and not public as seen in YouTube.
mute button

You can even mute regular users and only admins will be allowed to chat. However, that’s a discussion for another blog.

  • Last, you can create a room for paid live streaming. This means that users have to pay before they can enter the chat.

Adding paid access chat on your minisite

How can you do this? There’s an option in YouTube live called “Unlisted.”
This means that only people with the link can view the live, so you can embed it on your site, and then you can add paid access if they want to enter the chat.

group chatting

If they don’t, the users will miss out on good info and they would not want that.

This is good for live workshops, seminars, and conferences. You are getting paid for your time and knowledge. Then, you can also answer questions of the audience through your chat.

Your audience can also donate in the chat so you can also use it for auctions or crowdfunding for organizations. The possibilities are endless.

New Feature: Mute Button and Improved Delete Archive Setting

New feature announcement 🙂

Now you can mute members and force everyone to only listen to you. Cool, right? The mute button lets you do the following.

If you’re the chat admin, then you (and other admins) will be the only one to send messages. Everyone else just gets to read them. This is a great way to get your members’ attention.

The mute setting can only be activated by the chat admins.

Activating the setting disables all chat functionality for members of the chat. They wouldn’t be able to send messages or upload images, videos, and documents.

Meanwhile, all admins will be able to chat normally. Everyone in the chat can read but not respond in the group chat (however private messages are still allowed). The members will need to wait for the admins to un-mute the chat before getting a word in.

Another cool feature to check out is the new and improved delete archive feature. Deleting private messages is not a dilemma anymore.

If you’re interested in these features, then stay on this page and keep reading to know more!

Why a mute button?

Are you holding a virtual event, discussion, or online class and you want to get your members’ attention? No worries, we’ve got the perfect feature for you! With just the click of a button, admins can stop non-admins from chatting. This is the magic of the mute button.

By using the mute button, the chat will enter admin mode. This means that only admins are able to talk in the chat room. Non-admins are only allowed to read and listen.

It’s a great feature to use when you want all the attention on you. This is a way for people in your group chat to receive announcements, pay attention to meetings, and participate in class discussions. You can use this feature in events as well. How? Events have speakers, right? This lets the speakers talk about the topic first before the audience can insert their comments. In general, the audience is on listening mode, while the speaker is in talking mode. This is just an example.

By adding this feature, it may encourage your members to listen more instead of just spamming. This is also a way to encourage other businesses to use a chat to provide one-way updates. Usually, customers don’t open their emails. Therefore, this is a great alternative for them to be informed.

New and improved delete archive feature

Previously, you were only able to delete messages in a group chat. This leaves all the private chat messages stuck in the private chat, leaving it full and unorganized.

Where can you find the mute button?

You can access the mute button via two ways.

The first way is to access it on your admin panel.

  • In your admin panel, go to “Chat Operations.”
  • You will see the “Mute” button below the contact form.
mute button

Second, you can access it directly on your chat settings.

  • Click the gear icon at the bottom of the user’s list to open the chat settings.
  • Then, click “Admin mode” to mute your chat.

In both ways, when the mute setting is activated, a red box that says “Admin mode” appears in the chat. This is for the admins. You, as the admin, can now talk freely without interruptions from other members of the chat. Non-admins will see a green button on the text area.

Delete archive feature

As I’ve previously shared, we’ve updated the delete archive feature. Now, you can delete messages in the private chat also. You don’t need to delete one of the messages in the private chat.

When you clear all chat messages in the group chat, you will be asked if you want to delete the private chat messages as well. You will see this in the text box when you prompt to delete messages.
