Why should we change the password and image?

  • For Password change. As there are many hackers now on the internet, it’s better to be safe. The rule is to change your password every 30, 60, or 90 days, depending on what your chat room caters. 
  • For the Avatar image, this depends on the user. If you want to use your real image, that’s up to you. This can make your users feel more secure if there is an image on your profile. Therefore, they will know that you are a real person. This will increase the feeling of security.

Types of users

  • Managed users – These are people who log-in using a username and password. They are created by the chat owner, by the register option, and by API. 
  • Administrators – These are users also created by the group chat owner. After giving them administrator rights, they can also moderate the chat room and configure their login credentials as well as other users.

How to change your password?

If you are a chat owner, you can do the following.

  1. First, in the new admin panel, click your account name in the top right. user account
  2. This will open up a list and you will see “Account settings.” account settings
  3. After clicking “Account settings,” you will see the settings of your account. Also, you will see “change password.” Click the button to change your password.change password
  4. This will open a window where you will type in your current password and your new password. Fill up the form and click submit to proceed.reset password

For your users, you need to do the following steps.

  1. In the admin panel, click “Settings.” Then, click “Users.”admin settingsuser settings
  2. There, click a user that would like to change his/her password.click on user
  3. Lastly, click “Reset password” and confirm to proceed.reset password

How to change the avatar image?

  2. You will see all the users, click one. For this, we are using “admin.”

  3. In there, you will see a button that says “Change Avatar.” Click it to proceed.

  4. Click the box to change the user’s image. Make sure that the photo is 350px by 350px or it won’t be accepted. Then, close the window.

How To Duplicate a Chat Room in RumbleTalk New Admin Panel?

Ever wondered how you can copy your chat design? Now, you can duplicate a chat room with a click of a button.

RumbleTalk new admin panel has a new button that can copy your current chat design and settings. This duplication option allow you to save time by setting sone chat to your liking and then creating a copy with a click.

What are the advantages of duplicating a chat?

  1. TIME – If you use the duplicate button, you will shorten the time for creating a new chat. Duplicating a chat has never been easier.
  2. The duplicate option is not only for duplicating chat design but also for other items, from chat settings to monetization features.
  3. Furthermore, because RumbleTalk opts for ease of usage and functionality, you can spend less time searching the internet for designs and how you can make your chat room pleasing to the eyes. Instead, you can just duplicate it and rename it depending on its use.

How to duplicate a chat room?

If you’re a frequent user of RumbleTalk, you may already know that we have our new admin panel. The new admin panel has brought in new features to go with it. One is to duplicate your chat.

Here is a step-by-step overview for duplicating your chat.

  1. In your new admin panel, you will see the “Duplicate” button in the upper right corner. Click on that.duplicate
  2. After clicking, you will be shown a window where you can choose to name your duplicate chat. Think of a name that you will remember!duplicate chat
  3. In that window, you will see “Advance options.” Click on it to proceed.advance optionsBy clicking it, you will see all the options you can duplicate. Here are the following options you can duplicate:advance
    • Chat settings – basic chat settings;
    • Design – chat design;
    • Banned IP addresses – list of banned IP addresses;
    • Monetize – paid access settings.
  4. To duplicate a chat room’s features, check on the box you would like to copy. In this example, “Design” is checked. Therefore, only the design of the chat will be copied in the duplicate.design

And voila, you have duplicated your chat design! Now, you can see your duplicated chat in the list of chat rooms you have in “Selected chat.”

  1. You can appoint someone you trust to be an administrator of a chat room if you’re not always active.
  2. You can limit users per chat room.

How can you do the following through RumbleTalk?

RumbleTalk has users per room option so you can limit users going in and out of a chat room. To do this, you need to do the following.

In your admin panel, you will see the “Settings” button. Click that, and it will then drop down to an additional list of setting. Click on “Users” to proceed.

After clicking on “Users,” you will now see the current registered users to your chat room. For the first prevention measure, you can appoint an administrator to a specific chat room or for global access.

Just click on “Add new user.” Select what the username should be and password. You could choose user role to be global or in a specific room only.

If you use rooms, however, then you will be prompted to choose what specific room he can only access.

Note that the administrator you choose should be a trusted person, one that will respect chat rules and implement it, and one that respects you. 

For the second prevention measure, you could limit users per chat room. Just like the steps for the first one, here you will only choose user access to rooms only.
