What is the difference between a private chat conversation and the Private Chat type?

Some users are confused between the two. At RumbleTalk, we have many different chat types so it can get confusing for our users. Therefore, in this article, we’ll explain the difference the private chat conversation and the Private Chat type.

For private chat conversations, this is available in both Group Chat and Moderated Chat types. When you click on a user’s name, a chat box will pop up. This lets you chat privately with anyone.

In the private chat, you can also do one-on-one audio and video calls with another user and even send files like in the Group Chat type.

As for the Private Chat, this only allows conversation in private only. You cannot send group chat messages. Here’s an example.

In the Private Chat, it only works as a private chat for all users. Therefore, you cannot see other chat conversations. Only one-on-one conversations can be held.

As you can see, the difference between them is that, for private chat conversations, a chat box will pop up and you can still send group chat messages. In the Private Chat, only private messages are allowed.
