New Mobile Chat Version: With Camera and Attach Files Options

You can now take photos and upload files directly from your mobile chat.

Upload images and files!
Now you can take live photos, and upload files and images directly from your mobile device.

Various settings are now integrated into the mobile version.
Changing settings (like, enabling videos, hiding the “Invite Friends” button, etc.) will now work in the mobile version.
* Tested on mobile Chrome and safari.

New private chat look to the mobile version
Like the recent changes we have made  with the web version, now the private chat has a better and intuitive UI on mobile devices.

Saving the chat as an App
Saving the chat to the devicec home screen (e.g., in chrome, click “Settings” -> “Add to homescreen”) will create a chat-app on your mobile device.

Sending an image or video link will now display a live video or image instead of a link!

Block private messages
You can now block private messages from a user using the new Block button in the private chat window.

* Available in advance versions of iOS and Android.

Private Chat made Simple- User Experience

The general group chat is a lobby chat room.
Within the room, one can private chat with other users.

We spent a lot of time to talk to users and understand their pain with respect to private chat design. We are happy to introduce a better and intuitive UI for private chat.

Messages will be framed as chat bubbles.
Each message is framed as a single message.
In addition, the user icons will be shown on the right and left sides corresponding to the sender and receiver.

Private chat message indicator!
Now, this was long requested by chatters. When you’re on a private conversation with a user, and receiving a message from a different user, a red indicator will be shown on the [different] user image that sent the message.

Private Chat Storage!
This is technical, but it is important to many users. Till now when you refreshed the page the private conversation was cleaned. Now private chat history will be saved locally on your computer until you close the browser (refreshing or closing the chat tab won’t delete the history).

Note, we do not store the private conversation and also administrator of the chat cannot see private conversations. Private discussion is kept private.

Private Message – Block option
You can now block specific users from sending you private messages.
Use the block button on the top of the private chat to stop seeing private messages from a certain user.

Private message Live Media
You may send links, images, youtube videos, etc in a private conversation.

*Note,  The private messages settings for allowing images, sounds..etc are based on your general settings.

Red admin user
Admin users color [username] are red by default.
This can be changed using simple CSS rules.

Hide invite friends
The “Invite Friends” button can be easily hidden in the chat settings.

News: We just released a new chat skin

We have worked hard to add a new chat skin to RumbleTalk theme library.
I am glad to share with you that we released it today after 2 months of beta. The beauty of the new chat skin is that, with a simple change in background image or color, it will create a totally new look and feel.

We’ve change a bit the way background is being integrated in this skin. Normally in all skins, when you added a huge photo, only a part of it will be shown in the case the chat is smaller than the image size. The new theme will show the full image as a background, no matter what the size of the chat is.

The new skin include various changes, like responsive re-sizing. This means that if you open the chat in Full screen and them re-size the screen, the chat will shrink with it without loosing proportions.

We solved some bug as well as  added a variety of tags to support better visually impaired customers. Another important release is that we changed our set of smiles to be yellow instead of green (for all chat room themes / skins).
