WordPress Group Chat – Plugin Features

We are happy to introduce the new RumbleTalk WordPress group chat plugin. As always, we are constantly working hard to simplify the plugin’s implementation and management, as well as include features that we release on the global service to the WP plugin.

The changes to the plugin are divided into several aspects:

  1. UX
  2. Keywords
  3. Multiple Chat Rooms
  4. Technical

UX Changes

The WP plugin has evolved dramatically, but some questions and requests from our users kept persisting. We tried to answer most of these using a smart UX design.

One question we kept on getting was the option to upgrade to a multiple chats account. To fix this, we put a large orange button on top of the chat with a clear indication of the current account status (Number of Seats, Rooms, and Keywords).

Adding the Keywords Feature

Recently, we released a new feature called InText Keywords. Since then, we have received many questions regarding the option to add it to the WP plugin. We are pleased to announce that it is now there! Also, note that the Keywords option is shared among all rooms, so in the event that you have more than one room and have you created an InText keywords list, it will be applied to all rooms in your account.

Easy Setting to Add More Than One Chat Room

The need to add more rooms while working with the plugin was often a question posed to our support team. We updated the plugin to make it easy to add more and more rooms and see each room with a clear view.

Charge Users for Entering the Chat

This is another feature that we’ve been working on behind the scenes. We get a lot of comments from you guys that we should add a monetization option. So, we did. Currently, there are two ways to monetize for entering the chat room.

The first one is to put an entrance fee to your group chat or expert’s chat. To do that, just simply choose from paid group chat or paid expert’s chat. Any paid chat type means that it’s monetized.

You can set your fees on the “Monetize” section of your admin panel. Just click on “Monetize Settings.” Then, set your fees and make sure that you’re charging for entrance. Also, save your changes before you go.

The second one is to add a subscription fee. This is great for membership chats and closed communities. Subscription fees are less hectic than entrance fees because members pay monthly or annually. For instance, they don’t need to extend every minute or hour.

This option works the same as the entrance fee option. The only difference here is that you choose the subscription option. That’s basically it!

WordPress Group Chat Technical Changes

We have implemented many technical changes behind the scenes. For example, you may notice that the folder structure has changed. We’ve made these changes to adapt to the most recent WP plugin instructions and recommendations.

If you need to step-by-step instructions on how to add our WordPress group chat service to your site, see our instructions here.

Chat SEO – A Step By Step Tutorial

With SEO (Search Engine Optimization) becoming a more and more important element of building websites (and of course leading users to your chat room), it’s no surprise that the tools used are becoming more sophisticated as well. Generating good Chat SEO content is difficult—that’s why RumbleTalk is making it easier.

When it comes to the content you present to your customers, nothing but excellence will do. And there is nothing more targeted than a conversation about a specific topic from a chat room.

What does this mean for my chat room?

It means that this is a Chat SEO tutorial, yes SEO using chat rooms! It’s a great way to improve your search engine listing with genuine content. It’s easy too—after embedding the chat room, which takes just a few minutes, you can get started.

Step 1
All you need to do to embed the RumbleTalk chat is sign up to the service and select your preferred embedding option. You can choose between a Webpage embed, a floating embed, a URL to the RumbleTalk site if you do not have your own hosted site, a Facebook chat, or even a Wix widget embed. Most of these options don’t require any development knowledge at all. It’s as simple as copying a code and pasting it where you want it.

Step 2
After adding the chat to your preferred location, talk to your users. To make this easier, RumbleTalk chat offers several different SEO tools to keep the conversation on track, including targeted keywords and spam filters.

The nice thing about this is that as the admin, you can steer the conversation wherever you want it to go. You can talk about the features of your product or service, you can ask about user experiences, and you can ask for genuine feedback from users.

When you’re satisfied with your conversation, you can start exporting it.

Chat SEO – But how?

Step 3
Firstly, use the admin panel to clear the chat of unwanted text. There are tools to filter content in a certain time or date span, or according to a certain text selection. You can also just select everything if you want. After doing this in the Archive section, all you need to do is click on the “Export as HTML” button, and your content is ready to go in your Download folder.

Step 4
The next step is to embed the content in your website. Since it’s already clean HTML code, all you need to do is to copy it out of the file in your download and into the website you want it to appear on. You do not need to be a developer to do this! Copying HTML code is something you can do in any website editor you are using. Simply highlight it and press Ctrl + C, then press Ctrl + V where you want it to go on your site.

Step 5
After you save your changes, you can immediately check the results on your website—now improved with the RumbleTalk chat log. You can regularly update this of course. While your chat is live, you will be able to do this as many times as you want. This means you can always add to your website content and keep it up to date.

How does this help me?

Step 6
After you’ve inserted the text, search engines will do all the heavy lifting for you. They will scan the highly targeted keyword chat section and increase your ranking in the results. Google looks for relevant, keyword-rich content that is also genuine—this describes your RumbleTalk chat log to a T.

This strategy is even more effective if you combine it with other Chat SEO elements, but if you’re new to the world of Search Engine Optimization, or even if you just want to get a leg up on the competition, this technique is a great place to start.

Three Reasons Why an HTML Chat Room Will Boost Your Business

Most businesses are accustomed to doing business over the phone, by email, or through other services like Skype. But all too many companies are missing out on the untapped potential that an HTML chat room on their website can bring.

Since the dawn of HTML5, chat rooms have become easier to use and more accessible than ever before. Some can be embedded in any web page (including WordPress, Joomla, and Wix) and can also work as a floating toolbar. But apart from those two clear benefits, here are three reasons why this type of chat room will boost your business:

Communities, Customers, and Employees Love Live Chat

Who’d argue against being able to connect with a company you want to purchase an item from without having to listen to that horrible “on hold” music while you wait in a queue? Or how about speaking with other interested customers and fans to get their perspectives. And consider how nice it would be to pop a quick question to another employee without having to wait for an email response. These all increase productivity and can also lead to increased sales.

Communities, customers, and employees prefer live chat because it provides them with immediate access to the people they want to chat with. In fact, in a study conducted way back in 2016, eMarketer found the following:

  • 63 percent of customers were more likely to return to a website that has an HTML chat room option.
  • 62 percent reported that they were more likely to purchase from a site with live chat.

Why? Whether you’ve got a thriving online community, or not quite yet, the longer users stay on a site, the more likely they are to buy in the long run, and what better way to keep them there than to get them talking!

Reduce Operational Expenses with an HTML Chat Room

From a purely business perspective, having an HTML chat room can also save your company in two key areas:

  1. Employee task time.
  2. Phone expenses; especially for multinationals.

Having that live chat option reduces a company’s overall contact center costs because it reduces the average interaction costs. It also increases efficiency as multiple chat rooms can be operating at the same time, meaning fans and followers can be engaging in group chats with each other without you even needing to get involved.

Have Engaging Client Conferences

What better way to bring new clients on board than to interact in a group chat? A recent Gallup poll shows that 37 percent of workers in the U.S. have telecommuted, up from only 9 percent in 1995. As such, the ability to connect with employees and prospects depends more and more upon online solutions. Rather than stale and expensive three or four-way phone calls, with HTML chat, you can connect many people in many locations, be it in offices or the comfort of their own homes.

All-in-all, an HTML chat room is an affordable business solution which can reduce costs, increase sales, and create happier customers and employees.

But if you’re one who’s got to see it believe it, check out this live demo of one such HTML chat room, RumbleTalk, one of the leading chat room platforms for communities and which even has a seven-day free trial.
